Getting Started

How do I sign up for LinkDeck?

Go to linkdeck.co.za and click "Start Free". You sign up using your South African mobile number — we send a one-time PIN via SMS to verify it. No credit card is required on the free Starter plan, and your page can be live within 5 minutes.

What information do I need to set up my page?

You need your business name, a short description, and your WhatsApp number (used for your WhatsApp chat button). You can also add your logo, cover photo, business address, and operating hours — but you can fill those in later.

How do I publish my page so customers can find it?

From your dashboard, complete your business profile, pick a template, and click the Publish button. Your page goes live immediately at linkdeck.co.za/your-page-name. You can update it anytime and changes go live instantly.

How do I share my LinkDeck link with customers?

Copy your page URL from the dashboard and paste it in your WhatsApp bio, Instagram bio, Facebook page, email signature, or anywhere else. You can also download a branded QR code from the dashboard to use on flyers, business cards, and shop windows.

How long does it take to set up a page from scratch?

Most businesses are live in under 10 minutes. You choose an industry template, fill in your details, and hit Publish. You can always go back and add more sections — gallery, services, testimonials, payment options — when you're ready.

Managing Your Page

How do I add or remove sections on my page?

In your dashboard, go to Sections. You will see a list of all available content blocks — gallery, services, business hours, testimonials, lead form, payment options, and more. Toggle any section on or off and drag to reorder them.

Can I change the colours and fonts on my page?

Yes. Go to Appearance in your dashboard to set your brand colour, button style, and font. The page updates in real time so you can see exactly how it looks before saving.

How do I set up my WhatsApp chat button?

When you sign up, your WhatsApp number is captured and the chat button is added automatically. To update the number or the pre-filled message customers send, go to your page settings and update the WhatsApp section.

Where can I see how many people are visiting my page?

Analytics are available on the Business and Pro plans. Go to Analytics in your dashboard to see page views, clicks, traffic sources (WhatsApp, Google, social), device types, and visitor locations. You can filter by 7, 30, 60, or 90 days.

Can I have more than one page under the same account?

Yes. You can manage multiple business pages from one login. This is especially useful for agencies or businesses with separate branches. Each page has its own URL, settings, and analytics.

Payments & EFT

What is the difference between payment links and bank details (EFT)?

Payment links let you paste in a shareable payment URL from a South African gateway (Yoco, PayFast, SnapScan, or Ozow). Customers click it and pay online. Bank details display your SA bank account information so customers can do a manual EFT transfer. You can use both at the same time.

How do I add a Yoco, PayFast, SnapScan, or Ozow payment link?

Log in to your payment gateway account (Yoco, PayFast, SnapScan, or Ozow) and generate a shareable payment link. Then, in your LinkDeck dashboard, go to Payments → Payment Links, click "Add Payment Link", paste the URL, and give it a label. Enable the Payments section under Sections so it appears on your page.

How do I set up EFT / bank account details on my page?

Go to your dashboard and navigate to Bank Details (EFT). Click "Add Account", select your bank, and fill in your account holder name, account number, account type, and optional payment reference. Once saved, enable the Bank Details section under Sections so customers can see it on your page.

How do customers actually pay me once I have this set up?

Customers who click a payment gateway link are taken directly to your gateway's secure payment page where they can pay by card or instant EFT. For manual EFT, your bank details are displayed with a tap-to-copy button for the account number. You receive the funds directly — LinkDeck does not handle or process the money.

Which plan do I need to accept payments on my page?

Both payment gateway links and bank details (EFT) are available on the Business plan and above. The free Starter plan does not include the payments section. Upgrade to Business or Pro to unlock these features.

Account & Billing

Is there really a free plan — what is included?

Yes, the Starter plan is free forever. It includes your branded business page, WhatsApp button, key links, QR code sharing, one AI credit, and a mobile-ready layout. No credit card required. Paid plans add lead forms, analytics, gallery, services catalogue, and more.

How do I upgrade to a paid plan?

Log in to your dashboard, go to Settings → Plan, and choose Business or Pro. You pay in ZAR with a credit/debit card or Instant EFT. Upgrades take effect immediately — your new features are available right away.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. Cancel from Settings → Plan at any time. Your subscription stays active until the end of the billing period you already paid for. No penalty, no lock-in. Your page stays live on the free Starter plan after cancellation.

Do LinkDeck prices include VAT?

All prices on the site are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include 15% VAT. A VAT invoice is available for every payment — contact billing@linkdeck.co.za if you need a copy.

What payment methods does LinkDeck accept for subscriptions?

We accept all major South African credit and debit cards, as well as Instant EFT. All billing is in ZAR — no currency conversion fees.

Technical & Troubleshooting

I published my page but it is not showing online — what should I do?

First, make sure your page is set to Published in your dashboard (look for the Publish toggle). If it shows as published but the link gives an error, try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R). If the problem persists, email support@linkdeck.co.za with your page URL.

My WhatsApp button is not opening the chat — what could be wrong?

Check that the WhatsApp number in your settings includes the country code with no spaces or dashes (e.g. 27821234567, not 082 123 4567). The button only works on devices with WhatsApp installed — on desktop it opens WhatsApp Web. If customers say it opens the wrong number, update it in Settings and republish.

What image sizes work best for my page?

Your logo should be square or landscape, at least 300×300px. Your cover/banner image works best at 1200×400px or wider. Gallery images can be any size — LinkDeck automatically converts them to modern formats (WebP/AVIF) and resizes them for fast loading. Keep files under 10 MB each.

How do I connect a custom domain like yourbusiness.co.za?

Custom domains require the Pro plan. In your dashboard, go to Settings → Domain and enter your domain. You will see a TXT record to add at your domain registrar (e.g. Afrihost, Domains.co.za, or Hetzner). Once the record is verified — usually within a few hours — your domain points to your LinkDeck page.

How do I get a QR code for my business page?

From your dashboard, go to QR Campaigns and click "Create QR". You can download a PNG or SVG version to use on flyers, business cards, stickers, or shop windows. Every scan is tracked so you can see how many people are using it in your analytics.
