Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules governing your use of the LinkDeck platform ("Platform"), operated by MediaOrb (Pty) Ltd t/a LinkDeck ("we", "us"). This policy applies to all users, including free and paid account holders.

By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, publish, or distribute content that:

• Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene.
• Promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
• Contains sexually explicit material or pornography.
• Infringes on intellectual property rights (copyright, trademarks, patents) of any third party.
• Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
• Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading.
• Promotes illegal activities or substances.
• Violates the privacy of others or contains personal information without consent.
• Impersonates any person or entity.

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Use the Platform for spamming, phishing, or sending unsolicited communications.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or Platform systems.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) without our written permission.
• Overload the Platform infrastructure through excessive API calls or denial-of-service activities.
• Resell or redistribute Platform access without authorisation.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any feature restrictions, security measures, or usage limits.
• Use the Platform to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crimes.
• Harvest or collect user information without consent.

4. Fair Use

To ensure the Platform performs well for all users, we enforce fair use limits on:

• Storage space per account.
• API request rates.
• Bandwidth consumption.

Accounts that consistently exceed fair use limits may be subject to throttling, additional charges, or plan upgrades.

5. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behaviour that violates this AUP, please report it to us at abuse@linkdeck.co.za. We will investigate all reports and take appropriate action.

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

• Remove or disable access to content that violates this AUP.
• Issue warnings to account holders.
• Temporarily suspend accounts pending investigation.
• Permanently terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations.
• Report illegal activity to law enforcement authorities.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of enforcement actions, except where doing so would compromise an investigation or violate legal requirements.

7. Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was suspended in error, you may submit an appeal to appeals@linkdeck.co.za. We will review appeals within 10 business days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Platform.
