Subscription & Refund Policy

1. Introduction
This Subscription & Refund Policy ("Policy") governs the billing, subscription management, and refund terms for the LinkDeck platform ("Platform"), operated by MediaOrb (Pty) Ltd t/a LinkDeck ("we", "us").
2. Plans and Pricing
We offer the following types of plans:
- Free Plan: limited features, no payment required.
- Paid Plans: monthly or annual subscriptions with access to premium features.
Current pricing is displayed on the Platform at the time of subscription. All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
3. Payment Processing
All payments are processed through PayFast, a licensed South African payment gateway. We accept:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard).
- Instant EFT.
- Other payment methods supported by PayFast.
We do not store your payment card details. All payment information is handled securely by PayFast in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
4. Billing Cycle
- Monthly subscriptions: billed on the same date each month.
- Annual subscriptions: billed once per year on the anniversary of your subscription start date.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.
5. Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for paid plans. During the trial:
- You have full access to the features of the selected plan.
- No payment is required during the trial period.
- At the end of the trial, your account will revert to the free plan unless you subscribe.
Trial availability and duration may vary and are subject to change at our discretion.
6. Upgrades and Downgrades
- Upgrades: take effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle.
- Downgrades: take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You retain access to your current plan's features until that date.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support. Upon cancellation:
- You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing cycle.
- Your account reverts to the free plan at the end of the billing cycle.
- Your content and data remain accessible on the free plan, subject to free plan storage limits.
8. Refund Policy
8.1 Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are generally non-refundable. If you cancel during a billing cycle, you will not receive a refund for the remaining days in that cycle.
8.2 Annual Subscriptions
For annual subscriptions, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or renewal. Refund requests after 14 days will not be granted.
8.3 Exceptions
We may grant refunds at our discretion in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate or accidental charges.
- Significant service outages caused by us.
- Billing errors on our part.
8.4 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at billing@linkdeck.co.za with your account details and reason for the request. We will respond within 5 business days.
9. Failed Payments
If a payment fails:
- We will attempt to process the payment again within a few days.
- You will receive email notifications about the failed payment.
- After multiple failed attempts, your account may be downgraded to the free plan.
- Continued non-payment may result in account suspension.
10. Price Changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing. If prices increase:
- We will provide at least 30 days' notice via email.
- Existing subscribers will be charged the new price at their next renewal.
- You may cancel before the renewal date if you do not accept the new pricing.
11. Consumer Protection
This Policy is subject to the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (Act 68 of 2008) of South Africa, where applicable. Nothing in this Policy limits your statutory rights under South African consumer protection law.
