1. Commitment to POPIA
MediaOrb (Pty) Ltd t/a LinkDeck ("we", "us") is committed to complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (Act 4 of 2013) ("POPIA"). We respect the right to privacy of all individuals whose personal information we process.

4. Purpose of Processing
We process personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing and operating the LinkDeck platform.
- Managing user accounts and authentication.
- Processing payments and managing subscriptions.
- Communicating with users about their accounts and services.
- Improving our platform through analytics and usage data.
- Complying with legal and regulatory obligations.
- Preventing fraud and ensuring platform security.
5. Conditions for Lawful Processing
We adhere to all eight conditions for lawful processing as set out in POPIA:
- Accountability: We take responsibility for complying with POPIA and have appointed an Information Officer.
- Processing limitation: We only process personal information that is adequate, relevant, and not excessive for the stated purposes.
- Purpose specification: We collect personal information for specific, explicitly defined, and lawful purposes.
- Further processing limitation: We do not process personal information for purposes incompatible with the original purpose of collection.
- Information quality: We take reasonable steps to ensure personal information is complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Openness: We are transparent about what personal information we collect and how we use it.
- Security safeguards: We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information.
- Data subject participation: We provide individuals with access to their personal information and the ability to correct or delete it.
6. Categories of Data Subjects
We process personal information relating to:
- Registered users of the Platform.
- Visitors to tenant pages hosted on the Platform.
- Subscribers to paid plans.
- Affiliates and referral partners.
- Individuals who contact us for support or enquiries.
7. Categories of Personal Information
- Contact information (name, email, phone number).
- Account credentials (hashed passwords, session tokens).
- Business information (business name, industry, website).
- Payment information (processed via PayFast; we do not store card details).
- Usage and analytics data.
- Device and browser information.
8. Rights of Data Subjects
Under POPIA, you have the right to:
- Be notified that personal information about you is being collected.
- Request access to your personal information.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal information.
- Object to the processing of your personal information.
- Object to receiving direct marketing communications.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
- Institute civil proceedings regarding interference with the protection of personal information.
9. Third-Party Operators
We engage third-party service providers ("operators") who process personal information on our behalf. These include:
- Payment processors (PayFast).
- Cloud hosting and storage providers.
- Email delivery services.
- Analytics platforms.
All operators are contractually bound to process personal information only on our instructions and to implement appropriate security measures.
10. Cross-Border Transfers
Where personal information is transferred outside the Republic of South Africa, we ensure that the recipient is subject to a law, binding corporate rules, or binding agreement that provides an adequate level of protection as required by Section 72 of POPIA.

- Encryption of data in transit and at rest.
- Secure authentication and access controls.

12. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to data subjects, we will:
- Notify the Information Regulator as soon as reasonably possible.
- Notify affected data subjects as required by Section 22 of POPIA.
- Take immediate steps to contain the breach and mitigate harm.
